Bird Watching

For our keen bird watchers, a glance from the Resort enables you to spot migratory and various other bird species. One can sight Siberian Cranes not far from the Resort, which come to a close by water body in flocks of hundreds. This rare sight near Sodakore will leave you enthralled, but you have to be lucky to view this as it is a very recent change in their movement and will take time to develop.
We organize day tours to Khichan where one can sight hundreds of the stately black and grey demoiselle cranes. These birds migrate from Central Asia every winter.

Jeep and Camel Safaris through the dunes:
Along the safari, one is able to view various species of desert wildlife like: The blue bull (one of Asia’s largest Antelopes), Gazelles, Fox, Dessert cat and Hare. Some birds which can also be sighted are partridges, peacocks, Demoiselle cranes and sand grouses.
You can ride on a camel back into the dunes and mesmerize yourself by the hues of the setting sun with snack and sun downers. You can even choose to sit under the stars, around a camp fire, completely immersed in some instrumental folk music and spend the night cooking your food on a camp fire.
